Beste leden,

Vorige week donderdag 7 maart vond een infovergadering plaats georganiseerd door Stad Gent i.v.m. de verhuis van KAAGent naar het Arteveldestadion en de plannen van de Stad met de huidige locatie: het Jules Ottenstadion en onze hockey- en tennisclub.

Als bestuur kunnen wij jullie meedelen dat er nog geen beslissingen genomen zijn daaromtrent. Wel zijn er gesprekken tussen Stad Gent, de eigenaren van onze grond: de Coöperatieve en de club om de mogelijkheden te bekijken.

Wij zullen u steeds op de hoogte houden van verdere ontwikkelingen.

het is met ongelooflijk veel vreugde en fierheid dat we kunnen melden dat Alix Gerniers, draaischijf van onze dames 1 ploeg gisteren de GOUDEN STICK 2015 heeft gewonnen !

Gantoise gaat er sterk op vooruit!

2/02/2016 - Deze vrijdagavond hebben de bondscoaches Niels Thijssen (dames) en Shane McLeod (heren) tijdens het programma Kick-Off op Play Sports (Telenet), de winnaars bekend gemaakt van de Fintro Golden Sticks 2015. Dit gebeurde in het bijzijn van de 3 genomineerden in beide categorieën: Berta Bonastre (Wellington), Elodie Picard (Antwerp) en Alix Gerniers (La Gantoise) bij de dames, John-John Dohmen (Waterloo Ducks), Florent van Aubel (Dragons) en Pau Quemada (Leuven) bij de heren.

De speelsters en coaches uit Eredivisie dames hebben Alix Gerniers, middenvelder van La Gantoise en van de Red Panthers, verkozen tot beste speelster van het Belgisch kampioenschap 2014-2015. De speelster, afkomstig uit Ronse, wordt dus beloond met de Fintro Golden Stick 2015. De Zilveren Stick 2015 gaat naar de Spaanse Bonastre en de Bronzen Stick 2015 naar de jonge keepster Elodie Picard.

Victoire importante de la Gantoise qui relègue le Pingouin à 6 points et prend une belle option pour le top 4.

Dragons suffered their first loss of the season in surprising fashion on Wednesday afternoon, falling to second bottom side La Gantoise 3-2 in Ghent, allowing Racing Club de Bruxelles to narrow the gap significantly.

Pascal Kina’s side (pictured above) played the tie perfectly against 

the reigning champions, going ahead from a corner via Max Peeters. Manu Stockbroekx equalised but Maurice Dubois put La Gantoise back in front with a spectacular volley.

Thomas Verheyen levelled the game for a second time before Argentine Lautaro Diaz won the game for the Ghent side.

It allowed Racing to close in with another victory, beating Pingouin 4-3 with Anthony Versluys continuing his excellent form with the winning goal nine minutes from the end.

Tom Boon earlier scored a hat trick in reply to two goals from Nicolas Vandiest and one from former Berliner player Benedikt Swiatek.

Royal Leopold strengthened their place in the top four with a 3-2 win over Waterloo Ducks with Agustin Mazzilli scoring the crucial goal in Leo’s sixth win of the campaign.

Daring applied yet more pain on KHC Leuven with another 3-2 victory. Sergi Enrique and Victor Wegnez built a 2-0 lead before Geoffroy Cosyns eventually grabbed the winner after Leuven had fought their way back into the game.

Braxgata beat Herakles 4-3 and Antwerp won 5-4 against Beerschot in the other games of the day.

Next Sunday is the final game of the first half of the season before the winter break with Dragons hosting Daring and Leopold face Leuven in the big games.
